Rosa B. Quintero

ROSA B. QUINTERO, was born March 18, 1937 in Winslow, AZ to Marsial Borrego and Clara Ortiz.  Rosa was a Christian woman who went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the age of 84, surrounded by her loved ones when she was called home.  

If you ever met Rosa, you knew she was spunky, loving and vivacious. She seeped love from her very pores.  Rosa was married to Robert Quintero and had five children, but raised seven.

Her children were her very reason to live and she had an army of grandchildren, great grandchildren and even one great-great grandchild.

Rosa is survived by daughter Delia Irvin (Tom), son Steve Villegas (Debbie), daughter Rosa Alba, daughter Christina Quintero-Giovannetti (Rick) and daughter Bernadette Rodriguez (Ronald). Also survived by her brother Tony Borrego and sisters Pola Palos and Clara Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son David Villegas, grandson Andrew Robert Quintero, sisters Kathleen Ortiz, Socorro Jurado and brothers Max Borrego, Julian Borrego, Ruben Borrego, Johnny Borrego and Ramon Borrego.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10 AM Friday July 16, 2021 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road in Las Cruces. Concluding Service and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue where she will be laid to rest in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jesse Villegas, Christopher Alba, Carlos Alba, David Villegas Jr, Rhavi Giovannetti and Noah Bordé.
