Rodolfo “Opie” Sandoval Vasquez, 88, of Silver City passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Three Crosses Regional Hospital in Las Cruces. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Rudy was a veteran of the United States Air Force and will be remembered as a loving grandfather, uncle, and brother.
Inurnment will take place at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Fort Bayard National Cemetery where Rudy will be laid to rest with his loving wife, Shirley Vasquez, who predeceased him in 2017. Full Military Honors will be accorded to Rudy on behalf of the United States Air Force.
