Sandra K. Contreras

Sandra K. Contreras, 44, Deming resident passed away August 18, 2024 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces.

Visitation will take place Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10 o’clock in the morning at Baca’s Funeral Chapels. Funeral Mass to follow at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Prakasham Babu officiating. Inurnment will be on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 11 o’clock in the morning at Mountain View Cemetery.

Sandy was born in Deming on January 7, 1980 to Charlene Torres and Abelardo Contreras Sr.

She was an adventurous and outspoken person who enjoyed arts and crafts, watching movies, cartoons, listening to music, interacting with the residents at her work, camping, cruising on her monster truck, and spending time with her family, nieces, nephews and friends. Most of all her grandkids were her world, her 3 babies Renezmae Contreras, Sammie Toledo and Ismael Toledo. Sandy worked as a cook at Willow Manor Assisted Living Facility.

Sandra is survived by her son; Fabian Rene Contreras, daughter Kassandra Perez, grandchildren; Renezmae Contreras, Sammie and Ismael Toledo, brothers; Abelardo (Cynthia) Contreras Jr. and Arturo (Virginia) Contreras, sisters; Samantha Contreras and Rachel Torres, nieces and nephews, aunts; Kathy (Santos) Morales, Rosa and Guadalupe Contreras.

She is preceded in death by her parents and nephew David Huerta Jr.

Pallbearers will be Kassandra Perez, Fabian Contreras, Abelardo Contreras, Randy Torres, Javier Perez and Abel Contreras. Honorary pallbearers: Jaylene and Arrieceli Contreras.
