Stella Garcia Kirker, 85, of Santa Clara, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024, in Santa Clara. She was born on January 15, 1939, in Whitewater, NM, to Eduardo and Genevive Garcia. After moving to California, Stella pursued a successful career in real estate, earning the Top Sales Award. Her compassionate spirit shone through in her work with Cuban refugees, where she provided assistance and support. Upon retiring, Stella became a devoted homemaker, with a spotless home being one of her top priorities. She cherished conversations with family and friends, often spending hours on the phone catching up. Known for her impeccable style, Stella was the epitome of a true "Glamma," always dressed to impress. It’s no wonder her husband of 70 years remained captivated by her. Those who knew her best can attest to her sharp sense of humor and occasional, yet endearing, antics.
Stella was an extraordinary grandmother who loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren unconditionally. She embraced challenges with open arms, raising multiple generations with grace and determination. Stella will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Kirker-Munoz (Richard); her son, Ronald Kirker (Teresa); her brother, Henry Garcia; her sister, Lucille Holguin; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her son, Edward Kirker; her daughter, Clorinda Lynn Kirker Houch; her granddaughter, Edrina Kirker; and her parents, Eduardo and Genevive.
Visitation for Stella will be held from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Baca’s Funeral Chapels, followed by a Prayer Vigil and Rosary at 10:30 a.m. The concluding service and interment will take place at Santa Clara Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Henry. Deacon Bill Holguin will officiate the service. Casket bearers include Christian Kirker, Jordan Ortega, Edward Manning, Nathan Jacquez, William Houch, and Ryan Garcia.
She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
