Steven Lawrence Hayes

Steven L. Hayes, 70, Deming resident passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at his residence.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 10 o’clock in the morning at CitiLife Church where a celebration of his life will begin at 11 o’clock with Pastor Cesar Chavez officiating.  Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Steven was born to Betty Lou Porter and Clyde Earl Hayes on August 1, 1954 at Hamilton, Ohio. He loved driving, riding his motorcycle, fishing and going to the casinos, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years; Rosa A. Hayes, sons; Juan (Kristy) Valle, Steve (Christie) Hayes and Donald (Isela) Bustos, daughters; Erica (Shawn) Vaca and Annamarie Hayes, 16 grandchildren, 3 great-granchildren, siblings; Richard (Laviene) Hayes, Robert (Connie) Hayes and Vicky Phillips.  Steven was preceded in death by his parents; Clyde and Betty Hayes.

Pallbearers will be Juan Valle, Steve Hayes, Maxwell Valle, Isaiah Hayes, Anna Hayes & Erica Vaca.
