Steven Montoya

Steven Montoya, 50, of Silver City passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Steven was born October 29, 1974 in Silver City to Wanda C. and Eustacio Montoya Jr.

Steven loved his family dearly. His loved ones will remember him for his intelligence, eloquence, and his love of working with his hands, especially with wood and automotive. He was a people person and could carry a conversation with anyone.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda L. Montoya and sons, Michael Montoya, Noel Ingalls, and Gabriel Bernier; his brother, John Carnagey; sisters, Brenda Thorne (Darren) and Angie Dye; close family friend, Shelby Mead and his cousin, Shaun Montoya. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
