Thomas "Tommy" Lopez Alcorta

Thomas Alcorta, 58 of Silver City went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Cremation has been entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels.  A Graveside Funeral Service will take place at 11 am on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Memory Lane Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his brother, Tony Jr.  Military Honors will be accorded.  Officiating will be Pastor Joseph Gros.  

 “Tommy” as he was affectionately known, was born November 23, 1966 in Silver City to Tony and Linda Alcorta.  Tommy graduated from Silver High School, where he was an avid baseball player and as well for the city league for many years.  Tommy’s favorite hobby was fishing with his cousin Gabe, and was an avid Pittsburg Steeler fan.  Tommy served in the Army National Guard and from there enlisted in the United States Army.  He served for three years and was stationed in Germany until he was honorably discharged in 1990.

Tommy is survived by his mother, Linda L. Gonzales; his aunt, Gloria (Bennie) Montoya of Tucson, AZ; half-sister, Tomacina Alcorta and a half-brother, Tony J. Alcorta; uncle, Arturo A. Lopez of Leisure City FL; aunts Eva Alcorta, Teresa Alcorta and Angie Alcorta; uncles, Henry Alcorta and Joe Alcorta as well as many cousins and friends.  Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Tony Alcorta Sr. and his brother Tony Alcorta Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Lauriano and Josephine Lopez; paternal grandparents Joe and Thomasa Alcorta and many aunts and uncles.  Tommys memories will live on in our hearts forever.
