Victor Nevarez Berber

Victor Nevarez Berber, 56, longtime Deming resident passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, TX.

Visitation will begin Friday, November 26, 2021 from 4 to 6 o'clock in the evening at Baca's Funeral Chapel. Recitation of the holy rosary will be recited at 6 led by Gloria Barraza. Funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10 o'clock in the morning at St. Ann's Catholic Church with the rite of committal and inurnment to follow at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Jesus Martinez will officiate. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Mimbres Crematory.

Victor was born on November 8, 1965 in Ascension, Chihuahua, Mexico. Throughout his life he worked as a truck driver and built his own company. Victor will always be remembered as a hard-working man with a big heart, always there to give a helping hand to friends and family. Victor was dedicated father who loved his grandkids and a big fan of the Green Bay Packers.

Victor is survived by his wife, Alice Nevarez of Deming; 4 children, Maria (Raul) Hernandez of Corpus Christi, TX, Jose "Chico" Nevarez, Kimberly Nevarez and Yesenia (Antonio) Rodriguez all of Deming; 2 brothers, Isidro and Cesar Nevarez both of Mexico; 3 sisters, Juana Nevarez of Mexico, Griselda (Gildardo) Pacheco and Martha Nevarez both of Deming; 11 grandchildren as well as numerous extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Nevarez Coronado and Petra Berber.

Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Prieto, Gildardo Pacheco, Jesus Nevarez, and 3 of his children, Jose "Chico" Nevarez, Maria Hernandez and Yesenia Rodriguez.
