Virginia Flores Escarsega

Virginia Flores Escarsega, 86, lifelong resident of Deming entered eternal rest on Monday, June 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will begin Monday, June 20, 2022 beginning at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. Recitation of the holy rosary will be recited at 6 led by Irma Yolanda Padilla. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10 o’clock in the morning at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Jesus Martinez will officiate.

Virginia was born on May 21, 1936 in Deming to Rafael and Emma (Chavez) Flores. She was the eldest of 7 children and was blessed with 12 of her own along with 34 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Virginia was a member of the Sacred Heart Society at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. She was an avid plant and curio collector.

She is survived by her 11 children, Cindy (Danny) Pinon, Guillermo Jr. and Alfredo Ybarra, John (Vanessa), Socorro (Lindy), Regino (Yadira) and Jesus Ordonez, Emma Domeny, Martha J. (Mauricio) Dominguez, Myra J. Flores and Pablo (Latasha) Escarsega; 4 siblings; 34 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Rafael and Emma Flores; her husband, Socorro Ordonez; a daughter, Maria Elena Ybarra and 3 siblings, Enrique Flores, Esther Bess and Johnny C. Flores.

Serving as pallbearers will be her children John, Socorro and Regino Ordonez, Guillermo Ybarra Jr., Pablo Escarsega, Emma Domney, Martha J. Dominguez and Myra J. Flores.

Honorary Bearers will be her grandchildren Jose A. and Jessica M. Chavez, Lehi and Jose Dominguez, Michael and Jacob Garcia, John Quinones, Crystal Leija and Detrich Perkins. Also serving will be Usbaldo A. Quintana, Randi Quinones, LaSandra LaFrance, Dean Dominguez, Destiny Escarsega, Veronica Garcia, Danny Pinon, Berto and Nataly Zamora, Guillermo Ybarra Jr., Alma Munoz and Anna Apps.
