William "Bill" Marek Obituary
William Roy “Bill” Marek, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Born in Silver City, NM on January 18, 1952, Bill graduated from Silver High School in 1970 and then attended TVI in Albuquerque, NM where he studied auto collision repair. Bill ran Peck Body Shop for 48 years, working on countless community members’ cars and trucks. He loved hunting, fishing, water skiing, reading books, gardening and spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Marek; his children, William LeRoy “Billy” Marek and Christine Elaine Antonio; five grandchildren, Wesley Marek, Tyrell Marek, Kira Henderson, Madison Antonio and Brady Antonio; and his brother, Mike Marek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy Marek and Thelma Murphy.
The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later time on their land in Luna, NM.
Bill will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
