Zeb Brian Ortiz

Zeb Brian Ortiz, 45, of Mimbres passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026.  Zeb was born August 3, 1980 to Rosemary and Charlie Ortiz in Silver City.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place at 10 am on Monday, June 15, 2026 at the San Lorenzo Catholic Church followed by the Funeral Mass.  Internment will be at San Lorenzo Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his mother, Rosemary.  Officiating will be Father Martin Okonkwo.  Serving as pallbearers are, Charlie Ortiz, Gabriel Ortiz, Javier Peru, Paul Valencia, Leandro Dominguez and Johnny Zapata.  Honorary pallbearers are, Mel Ortiz, Billy Ortiz, John Ortiz and the rest of Zeb’s family.

Zeb was a loving man willing to help anyone. Zeb enjoyed riding horses, being in the mountains and ranching.  He also enjoyed cutting wood to supply people in need.

Zeb is survived by his father, Charlie Ortiz and stepmother, Elsie Ortiz; brother, Gabriel Ortiz; sister, Jodi Ortiz; daughters, Alyssa and Destiny Ortiz; and son, Andres Ortiz as well as numerous family and friends.  Zeb was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Ortiz.
